Besides secure transfer and receiving of data over the
internet (the prime requirement of the HIPAA), eVoiceScribe
addresses the security and confidentiality aspects by
using a variety of foolproof mechanisms.
The Security and Confidentiality of the PHI is being
maintained by eVoiceScribe with the following distinctive
features:

eVoiceScribe has a network
of P-III using Microsoft Windows 2000 Network and Firewall
for security of the network and data. All the data is
strictly password protected.

Employees are required to sign a
"Statement of non-disclosure and confidentiality".

All reports are delivered to the
client through promptly secured FTP/Internet, which
safeguards against unauthorized access. All transcription
files are stored at eVoiceScribe in
secured and backed up files for the duration agreed
with the client to eliminate accidental access.

We use an ICSA certified firewall
and filter on incoming ports allowing only FTP and management
ports for administrative access into our system.

Our network performs Network Address
Translation (NAT) and addresses cannot be routed without
traversing the firewall.

Installation of firewalls to detect
attempts at unauthorized access to its servers.
